Call for Proposals

 

The CHECK (Conference on Higher Education in Kansas) annual conference is scheduled for May 24 & 25, 2016 at Washburn University. We invite you take an active role and participate in the conference by submitting a proposal for presentation.

Presentations may take one of the following forms, or you may suggest an alternative format. All presentations are limited to 45 minutes, and presenters are encouraged to leave time at the end of the session for questions and answers.

  • Lecture-style – Traditional format in which a paper is presented with limited audience interaction
  • Panel discussion – Two or more speakers presenting multiple perspectives of the topic
  • Group presentation – multiple institutions share presentation/perspective of challenge on their respective campus (Round table)

The CHECK planning committee has developed a list of suggested topics to get you started:

  • Intercollegiate collaboration ideas. Team up for a panel discussion, presentation or demo and share how each uses software, services, or procedures.

  • IT governing structures – who is on the committee? Do they set policy?
  • Marketing IT Services
  • Data storage including a discussion of cloud services (Evernote, DropBox, box.net, etc.)
